BIT RATE dan BIT ERROR RATE

1. BIT RATE
Bit rate adalah kecepatan sinyal digital atau satuan sinyal digital yang mengambarkan kapasitas suatu sistem transmsi.
 Ex : 8Mbps Artinya sisem mampu menyalurkan data sebesar 8 Mega bit per detik. (8.000.000 bit per detik)

 2. BIT ERROR RATE
Bit error rate adalah jumlah bit rusak yang diperbolehkan. Pada standar internasional (ITU) BER(Bit Error Rate) = Artinya bahwa setiap bit data (10 Mbit) hanya boleh rusak maksimum 1 (rusak <= 1) BER(Bit Error Rate) menggambarkan kualitas sistim transmisi.

FORMULA :  Bit Rusak yang diijinkan = Kapasitas data x BER
Ex :  Bit rusak (iz) = 24Mbps x 10-7  = 2 bit 
Ex :  Bit rusak (iz) = 80Mbps x 10-7 = 8 bit
